MORTGAGE INSURANCE
Introduction:
Mortgage insurance is basically a protection for the lender. When somebody plans to buy a home, he is not able to give a huge amount as down payment and 20% should be the down payment in the rule. But if the person is not able to give 20% as down payment, the lender may be in danger or may be at larger risk. So Mortgage insurance is a sort of a guarantee that they will not lose money. This brings them to the safer side. Hence the buyer pays off the Equated Monthly Installments (EMI) which may also be called monthly premiums. For this the buyer has to meet certain requirements.
Specifications:
Basically mortgage insurance comes into picture when the buyer is not able to pay 20% as down payment because they are not able to pay that huge amount of money. So you will pay less than 20% and you will get a Mortgage insurance policy written that the buyer will give the rest amount in monthly installments. This makes everything economical. The buyer can easily think of purchasing the home and give out as much as he can as down payment and rest of the amount is paid off in easy installments. To be boldly marked that the Mortgage insurance is for the lender only and not for the buyer. This makes him come to the higher and safer level.
Merits:
The Mortgage insurance eradicates all the worries of the lender when the buyer is not able to pay 20% as the down payment. In this case both buyer and the lender come to the safer position because the buyer can give away the rest amount in the form of easy monthly installments and the risk of the lender is also covered and buyer has to pay the money at an easy insurance rate too.
